October 3

We started off this AM with a visit to Pergamum  which has some of the most impressive ruins in spite of the loss of the great altar of Zeus to the German Pergamum Museum.

Below are some of the ruins!!!

After finding out that Ephesus would be closed tomorrow for the Muslim Feast of the Sacrifice, which commemorates the sacrifice of Ishmael by Abraham in Mecca, we headed to see this amazing archeological site.

A view of the public toilets which were part of every civilized society in the ancient world.

The famous library of Ephesus, one of the great libraries of the ancient world.

Pastor Dave speaking in a normal voice in the great amphitheater of Ephesus.  No microphone needed.

End of the day and headed for the hotel.
