October 12

This is our last day of touring with our "Forced Marches" and this one is probably one of the worst.  We started off with a visit to the Catacombs

Next was St Peter in Chains where the Michelangelo statue of Moses sits.  We found out that the likely reason Michelangelo put horns on Moses is because the Hebrew word for horns & for shining is the same word.  Scripture talks about Moses' face shining.

Lunch followed and gave us a time to relax after a long walk

We met at the Colosseum to continue on with a visit inside

We then went across the street to the Forum

And our last visit of the day was the Mamertime Prison where Peter and Paul were probably held

Of course, we couldn't pass us the Pantheon

We headed back to the hotel to pack and get ready to go home the next day.  Our own beds will be very welcome.

October 11

This morning we started off with a visit to St Paul outside the walls.  This is the traditional site of Paul's burial.

Next was Three Fountains which is the site of Paul's beheading.

We had an unusual phenomena - the men standing in line at the restroom

Some of us found lunch at a little roadside stand and sat on the steps at St Peter's square to eat,

Our afternoon visit was to the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel.  Unfortunately, we didn't get to take pictures inside the Chapel.

At the end of the day several people went to see the Money Changer

October 10

Arrive in Rome around noon and had a walking tour starting at the Nova Square.  Unfortunately
the Trevi Fountain was under renovation and we didn't get to throw a coin into it.  We actually got to the hotel at a decent time.

The traffic was horrible

But lunch was good
